چکیده
Listeria monocytogenes is a foodborne pathogen and the causative agent of listeriosis among humans and animals. The draft genome sequences of L. monocytogenes serotype 4b strains 944 and 2993 and serotype 1/2c strains 198 and 2932 are reported here.

Genome Sequences of Listeria monocytogenes Serotype 4b Variant Strains Isolated from Clinical and Environmental Sources
Listeria monocytogenes strains that show a novel PCR serotyping profile (IVb-v1) have been reported recently. Here, we announce the draft genome sequences of five L. monocytogenes IVb-v1 strains isolated from the United States and Australia that harbor a 6.3-kb DNA cassette characteristic of serotype 1/2a strains.

Serotyping is a universally accepted subtyping method for Listeria monocytogenes. Identification of the strain serotype permits differentiation between important food-borne strains (1/2a, 1/2b, and 4b) and provides a "gold standard" for comparing isolates analyzed in different labs and with different techniques. Although an efficient enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay serotyping protocol was des...

Background and Objectives: Listeria monocytogenes are known as an emerged foodborne pathogen and considered as a severe health risk. In the present study, prevalence and antibiotic resistance of L. monocytogenes isolated from ready-to-eat meat products in Iran were assessed. Materials and Methods: A total of 200 ready-to-eat meat products, including chicken meat (wing, breast, and leg), lamb a...

Introduction: Listeria monocytogenes is a pathogen acquired through the consumption of contaminated foods. Thirteen serotypes have been reported, of which 1/2a, 1/2b, and 4b are responsible for 98% of human listeriosis cases. This study examines the association between serotypes and virulent clones, offering greater information and providing tools to prevent and control diseases caused by L. mo...

The genomes of three strains of Listeria monocytogenes that have been associated with food-borne illness in the USA were subjected to whole genome comparative analysis. A total of 51, 97 and 69 strain-specific genes were identified in L.monocytogenes strains F2365 (serotype 4b, cheese isolate), F6854 (serotype 1/2a, frankfurter isolate) and H7858 (serotype 4b, meat isolate), respectively.
